Our Verdict
The Patagonia Women’s Nano-Air Light Hoody is designed as a put-on-and-leave-on layer. The combination of 40g breathable insulation and an air-permeable 30-denier shell provides useful warmth without trapping too much heat, while the stretchy fabrics and articulated cut should make it comfortable for hiking, scrambling and other high-output use.
At 326g (Medium), it remains relatively light for an insulated hoody. The stretchy, low-profile hood adds extra warmth without feeling bulky and is designed to move easily with your head.
The DWR-treated outer will handle light moisture, but breathability takes priority over weather protection, so I’d still want a shell in exposed conditions. Two zipped hand pockets and two zipped chest pockets give plenty of practical storage, with the left chest pocket also doubling as a stuff sack.
