Our Verdict
At 357g (UK12), the Granitic Jacket is a substantial fleece that provides plenty of warmth without sacrificing the breathability that makes high-loft fabrics work so well for active use. The 208g/m² fleece traps heat effectively while still allowing moisture to escape as effort increases.
The Regular fit leaves enough room for a baselayer without feeling overly baggy. At the same time, the Thermic Pro reinforcement around the cuffs and hem adds durability in the areas most likely to see repeated wear.
Two zipped hand pockets and a zipped chest pocket provide useful storage without adding unnecessary bulk. It is bulkier than a synthetic or down jacket offering similar warmth, but the open, high-loft construction makes it much easier to wear while moving.
