Our Verdict
The ULA Ultra Polarity Magnetic Pocket keeps a phone and other small essentials close at hand without relying on a zip. The magnetic flap is quick to open with one hand, while the 19 × 10 × 3.8cm main compartment is large enough for most modern phones, and a powerbank.
I particularly like the front stretch-mesh pocket for sunglasses, snacks or anything I want to grab without opening the main compartment. At 36g, it adds useful storage without much extra weight.
The Gatekeeper hooks attach to ULA shoulder straps and should also fit most rucksacks with suitable webbing or daisy chains.
