Our Verdict
At just 36g, the Extremities Trail Cap is firmly aimed at fast-moving use. The short foam peak keeps the shape compact and helps it stay stable in wind, while the close fit and rear drawcord make it easy to secure properly.
I like the breathable panels here,which promote decent air flow. The ripstop fabric keeps the weight low, and it packs down easily when you do not need it.
The X-Glo reflective print adds useful visibility in low light.
