Our Verdict
At 415g (Medium), the Stormbreaker 3L Jacket combines a 40D Hydronaute Ultra shell with a 20,000mm+ hydrostatic head and 20,000g/m²/24hr breathability, offering solid protection without the weight of a heavier shell.
I’m 6ft 1in and found the Large fitted me well, with enough room for layering without feeling baggy. The pit zips are a useful addition for dumping heat on steeper climbs, while the two-way front zip and adjustable cuffs add more ventilation options.
My only complaint is the hood adjustment. The crown cinch works well, but I would have liked a second adjustment around the face opening to dial in the protection a little more.
