Our Verdict
The Igneous Gear NOBO 1L Bottle weighs 68g and uses a squeezable HDPE construction designed for use with filters. Its standard 28 mm thread works with common filters such as the Sawyer Squeeze and Platypus QuickDraw, while the tethered cap is easy to open one-handed and cannot be dropped.
Millilitre markings are useful for measuring water for meals, and the bottle can also handle hot water. The shorter, broader shape should sit securely in most rucksack side pockets, although its narrow opening makes cleaning/ filling from a stream more awkward.
Do not overtighten the cap, as excessive pressure can warp it and affect the seal.
