Our Verdict
At 67g (Medium) per pair, the Merino 150 Anatomica Boxers use an 83% merino blend with polyamide and elastane to improve stretch, shape retention and durability. The fabric feels soft against the skin, while the flatlock seams and contoured pouch help reduce rubbing on longer days.
Merino’s main advantage here is odour control, which makes these especially practical when you are wearing the same pair for more than a day between washes. The slim fit keeps excess fabric to a minimum, while the elastane helps stop them feeling loose or baggy.
They will not dry as quickly as lightweight synthetic underwear, but I think the comfort and reduced odour make the trade-off worthwhile for multi-day trips.
