Our Verdict
The Biolite Luci Original Clear Inflatable Solar Lantern packs almost flat, inflates in seconds and provides enough light for cooking, reading and general camp use. The clear design produces a brighter, more focused beam than diffused lanterns, making it particularly practical around camp.
I also appreciate the dual charging options. Solar charging is a useful backup, while USB-C offers a more reliable option when sunshine is in short supply.
The inflatable construction feels surprisingly durable, and the IP67 rating means wet weather is rarely a concern.
