Our Verdict
At 362g (Medium), the Khamsin Lite Pants combine an AEROFLYTE Lite stretch outer with an OCTA 100 lining, adding warmth without the bulk of a heavier fleece-backed winter trouser. The OCTA fibres are designed to trap air while remaining highly breathable and quick-drying.
I like the low-profile elasticated waist and minimal-seam construction, which should sit comfortably beneath a rucksack hipbelt while allowing plenty of movement. The tapered Regular fit also keeps excess fabric away from boots.
Two zipped hand pockets and a concealed thigh pocket provide enough storage without adding unnecessary bulk.

- AEROFLYTE Lite WR - 2-Way stretch lightweight full dull recycled nylon plain weave, with excellent abrasion resistance, and a nonfluorocarbon water repellent finish.
- OCTA® 100- OCTA® is an exceptionally unique fibre with a distinctive, highly modified cross-section with eight projections aligned in a radial pattern around a hollow fibre. Its unique construction makes the fabrics super light, quick drying, highly breathable and extremely warm.
