Our Verdict
At 158g (Medium), the Harpur Shorts are light enough for hot days without feeling too minimal. The stretch fabric and split hem give plenty of movement for fast walking, scrambling and high steps without pulling through the thigh. I like the simple waistband, which sits comfortably under a pack, and the pocket layout keeps things clean: two hand pockets and a concealed rear pocket. The 5-inch inseam gives good airflow.
