In Ultra Mode you can load it up knowing it will be comfortable and stable on longer trips. Convert it to Fast Mode and you can reduce the overall pack weight whilst keeping it stable for fast pack adventures and trail runs.
Strip it right back to Day Mode and you get a comfortable, lightweight day pack that's ideal for shorter trips. The waterproof fabric and roll top design will also keep all your kit dry as the weather closes in.
Our Verdict
At 527g, the F10 Ultra 35L Rucksack sits firmly in fastpacking territory, but the removable aluminium frame and hip belt give it more structure and comfort than many minimalist packs. I think it makes the most sense as a lightweight overnight or weekend pack rather than a pure day pack, though the stripped-back Day Mode should still work well for shorter hikes.
The shoulder bottle pockets and accessible storage are well-judged for quick movement. The harness design feels closer to a running vest than a traditional rucksack, which should help stability when moving faster or covering longer distances with a lighter load.
The waterproof construction is one of the most interesting parts of the design. Fully taped seams, waterproof fabric and the roll-top closure offer noticeably better weather protection than most ultralight packs.
The fixed back length may limit fit for some users, but the overall design feels best suited to lightweight backpackers and fast hikers wanting one pack for multiple roles.
