Our Verdict
The Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler Tote keeps things simple, with one large 65-litre compartment and a wide opening that makes loose equipment easy to see and reach. I particularly like the compression-moulded base, which helps it stand upright while packing and protects the contents when placed on damp or dirty ground.
The reinforced straps allow either hand or shoulder carrying, while the small exterior pocket prevents keys, a phone or headtorch from disappearing beneath the main load. At 1,061g, it is not especially light, but the tougher 600D polyester body and 1680D ballistic base feel appropriate for moving boots, helmets and other bulky equipment.
