High pile fleece fabric draws moisture away from the body and high levels of air permeability reduces overheating during more dynamic activity levels. Our Verdict
Weighing 304g (Medium), the Montane Caldus XT Vest 2.0 gives you a substantial amount of warmth through the torso. The THERMO HLG fabric has a high-loft grid backing that traps heat, while the stretch and open construction help keep things comfortable when you are moving.
I like a vest for colder days when I want extra warmth around my core but still want plenty of freedom through the arms. The two zipped hand pockets and chest pocket also stay accessible around a pack or harness.
