Our Verdict
The Airox 36’s main strength is its ventilated back system, which keeps air moving and your back well-ventilated while still supporting the load. At 1212g, it is not a stripped-back pack, but the weight brings useful features: adjustable back length, a supportive hipbelt, front access, side compression straps and plenty of quick-access storage.
I like the zipped front entry, as it makes buried layers, food or waterproofs easier to reach than on a simple top-loader. The large front stash pocket is ideal for a damp kit or a layer you keep taking on and off, while the chest-strap storage is handy for snacks, a phone, or a soft flask. It's always nice to see a rain cover included.
