AeroDry is an ultralight gear drying system designed to efficiently dry clothing and small items inside the vestibule of a tent. The system is attached to the top of a trekking pole and tensioned to the ground using a lightweight line and included titanium stake, creating a vertical drying setup that maximizes airflow.
Multiple adjustable hook lines are distributed along the main line, allowing garments to be organized and spaced for optimal drying. Larger items can be placed higher up, while smaller items hang lower. Each hook line is individually adjustable in height, providing flexibility depending on the type of gear.
For increased drying capacity, two AeroDry systems can be used in parallel, enabling efficient drying of multiple garments at once. A lower clip is included for items such as insoles or smaller accessories that benefit from ventilation.
Our Verdict
The AeroDry is an ultralight clothesline designed primarily for trekking-pole shelters, although it can be used with other shelters too. It attaches to the top of a trekking pole and tensions down to the ground, with adjustable hook lines for hanging socks, gloves, baselayers and other small items.
I like that it uses otherwise wasted space and avoids stringing a conventional clothesline across the inner of your tent. The adjustable hooks also let you spread items apart rather than bunching everything together on one line.
At just 7g, it is very easy to justify carrying on longer trips, which is realistically when you are likely to get the most use out of it.
