Our Gram-Counter Gear 2.5mm Reflective Dyneema Shock Cord is a composite braided rope made with a UHMWPE (Dyneema) outer layer, silver reflective yarn and a rubber elastic core.
Designed for outdoor use, it combines high strength, cut resistance, night visibility and elastic shock absorption. Ideal for replacing inner shock cord in tent poles, adding shock cord to guylines to absorb wind gusts and many other applications.

Our Verdict
Gram-counter Gear’s 2.5mm Reflective Dyneema Shock Cord combines a strong outer sheath with an elastic rubber core, making it well suited to guylines, tent pole repairs and other points where a little movement helps reduce sudden strain.
The reflective material improves visibility around camp, while the Dyneema outer adds abrasion and cut resistance. At 5g per metre, it remains light enough for small repairs or custom adjustments.

Using the best Malaysian rubber, the composite rubber filament core provides elasticity and shock absorption. It effectively reduces tension impact on tents and equipment, minimising the risk of breakage caused by sudden forces.
