A lighter take on Hydro Flask’s insulated camp mug, without losing the comfort of a proper handle and lid.
Hydro Flask says:
The new Lightweight Mug is here to keep your drinks hot for all-day sipping in a sleek, lightweight style. A new, ergonomic handle is paired with a closeable, leak-resistant press-in lid. Meet us for a cup.
Our Verdict
At 271g, the Hydro Flask 12 oz Lightweight Mug is still heavier than a simple titanium cup, but I think the extra weight is much easier to justify if you like your tea/coffee/soup to stay properly hot at camp. The 355ml capacity is a good size for a brew, while the vacuum insulation keeps heat in and the outside comfortable to hold.
I particularly like that Hydro Flask has cut around 70g from its standard 12 oz mug while retaining a proper handle and adding a closable, leak-resistant lid.
